A disability is a physical or mental condition that impairs or limits a person's ability to participate in typical activities and interactions.[1] The UN adopted the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in 2006, which requires the state to provide access people with any kind of disability. 177 countries have ratified the CRPD, but the United States has not.[2] Human rights violations against disabled people in the USA have significantly worsened since the COVID-19 pandemic.[3]
