Marie Braun was a Statesian anti-war activist and member of Women against Military Madness. After retiring from her psychology practice in 1997, she fully focused on the anti-war movement. In 1998, she traveled to Iraq in a delegation opposing U.S. and UN sanctions. For 23 years, she held an anti-war vigil every Wednesday at the Lake Street bridge in Minneapolis to protest again U.S. imperialism.[1]
