Moms for Liberty is a homophobic group in the United States that is connected to QAnon and Ron DeSantis. It also opposes mask mandates. Its co-founder Bridget Ziegler is connected to the Proud Boys.[1]
Book bans
11 people were responsible for 62% of 2,571 book ban requests in 2022. Most of the targeted books support LGBT+ or portray non-white youth positively.[1]
Funding
As a 501(c)(4) organization, Moms for Liberty does not have to disclose who funds it and has no lobbying restrictions.[1]
