Daily NK is a south Korean propaganda outlet funded by the NED, a front group of the CIA. It publishes articles in Chinese, English, and Korean. It is often a source for other Western bourgeois media outlets such as CNBC, CNN, Fox News, and The New York Times. Because Daily NK pays informants more for more sensational stories, even the southern government has admitted it publishes a "flood of raw, unconfirmed reports."[1]
Funding
As early as 2011, the U.S. government gave Daily NK hundreds of thousands of dollars per year. One of Daily NK's biggest sponsors is the NED, which gave it $1.97 million between 2016 and 2020.[1]
