Thongloun Sisoulith is a Lao politician serving as the General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party since 15 January 2021 and President of Laos since 22 March 2021 taking over both positions from Bounnhang Vorachit. Previously he served as Prime Minister of Laos from 20 April 2016 until 22 March 2021.
