Marco Antonio Rubio (born May 28, 1971), nicknamed Narco Rubio for his connection to drug dealers,[1] is a far-right U.S. politician. He previously ran for president and is now expected to become Trump's Secretary of State. He has supported U.S. funding for Ukraine and Israel.[2]

Congress[edit | edit source]

Since the beginning of his political career in 2000, Rubio has threatened enemies of the U.S. with coups, sanctions, and war. In 2019, he cosponsored a Senate resolution that condemned a UN Security Council resolution saying that Zionist settlements violated international law.[3] In the same year, during an attempted U.S. coup against Nicolás Maduro, Rubio tweeted images of Gaddafi's murder.[1]

Family[edit | edit source]

Rubio's brother-in-law, Orlando Cicilia, spent 12 years in prison for smuggling and distributing cocaine. After Cicilia's release, Rubio used his political position to make Florida give Cicilia a real estate license.[1]
