The Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF) was the largest Muslim charity in the United States. It provided aid to people in the West Bank and the USA before being crushed by the Bush regime.[1]

State repression[edit | edit source]

Ariel Sharon claimed without evidence that the HLF funded Hamas. The Bush regime arrested five people: Ghassan al-Aashi, Mufid Abdulqader, Shukri Abu Bakr, Muhammad al-Mezain, and Abdulrahman Odeh. All five were convicted in a show trial.[1]
