John Atkinson Hobson (6 July 1858 – 1 April 1940) was a British economist. Despite not being a Marxist, he analyzed imperialism more accurately than Kautsky and showed that finance capital dominated imperialist society.[1] He also criticized the social-democratic Fabian Society for supporting imperialism.[2]
