The Socialist Party (SP) is a communist party in Zambia.

State repression

On 8 April 2023, members of the ruling United Party for National Development attacked members of the SP and arrested Fred M'membe. Police fired tear gas at the Socialists and injured M'membe and his advisor Preston Chinyama.^[1]
