Peter Andreas Thiel (born 11 October 1967) is a Statesian capitalist and tech billionaire.
Career
In 2000, Thiel's company Confinity merged with Elon Musk's online bank X.com to form Paypal. In 2002, Thiel sold Paypal to eBay and then founded the military intelligence company Palantir. He has been on the board of directors for many tech companies, including Facebook.[1]
Political views
In 1995, Thiel and David Sacks wrote "The Diversity Myth," which denounced multiculturalism. He opposes social security and regulations protecting workers. In 2012, he donated $2 million for the right-wing Club for Growth PAC. In 2016, he endorsed Trump at the Republican National Convention and gave $300,000 to Josh Hawley's run for Missouri Attorney General. In 2022, Thiel gave $15 million to JD Vance's Senate campaign and $20 million to Blake Masters's Senate campaign.[1]
