Police abolition

From ProleWiki, the proletarian encyclopedia

Police abolition is a movement that seeks to abolish the police as a repressive state body rather than reform it. Abolition of the police is only possible as part of a revolution that destroys the entire capitalist state and abolishes bourgeois in favor of a new set of proletarian laws.[1] The reason this is considered necessary for the achievement of communism is because police are the armed guards of the state, thus eliminating them is crucial to the elimination of the state as a whole.[2]
