The Constitutional Democratic Party, also known as the Kadets, was a bourgeois political party in the Russian Empire. In 1909, it praised the tsarist government for crushing the revolution of 1905.[1] It opposed redistributing land to peasants.[2]
History[edit | edit source]
The Kadets lost many of their seats between the Second and Third Dumas because the landlords switched their support to the Octobrists.[1]
