Degrowth is an anti-capitalist and environmentalist ideology inspired by Malthusianism that seeks to limit economic growth and production. It opposes large-scale production, including infrastructure that would help the environment like high-speed trains and wind farms, and advocates for unproductive small-scale farming instead of industrial farming. Although accumulation only benefits the ruling class under capitalism, it benefits the entire population and the environment under socialism.[1]
