Economism is a term periodically mentioned by Lenin that describes a reformist trend in the early days of revolutionary Russia. This movement was in support of trade unionism, increased wages, and working conditions, with a single-minded focus on the local level, explicitly rejecting wider systemic changes, such as revolution.
