History
In 221 BC, Qin Shi Huang Ying Zheng unified northern China. Thereafter he sent 500,000 troops to attack southern China. The aborigines in southern China had a low level of productivity and since then Fujian Province became part of China.
Due to its advantageous geographical location, Fujian became an early Chinese province in contact with the world, and in the Song Dynasty, Quanzhou City in Fujian Province became the starting point of the Maritime Silk Road.
In the 18th century, after the Qing Dynasty recovered Taiwan, Taiwan came under the jurisdiction of Fujian Province. Later, for national defense needs, Taiwan became a province.
