Ilhan Omar is a Statesian politician and member of the House of Representatives for Minnesota. She is a member of the Squad, which has some progressive policies but still supports imperialism.

Imperialism

Omar was involved in the U.S. overthrow of anti-imperialist Somali president Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed. In 2011, Omar met with Paul Kagame, a war criminal and the president of Rwanda.[1] She later voted against a resolution to free Rwandan political prisoner Paul Rusesabagina.[2] She supports the Tigray People's Liberation Front, which invaded Eritrea.[1]

In November of 2023, Omar voted in favor of a resolution equating opposing State of Israel to antisemitism. The resolution also affirmed Israel’s supposed right to exist.[3]
