The Irish Citizen Army was an Irish Republican Socialist military organization that existed from the Dublin Lockout in 1913 to its final formal appearance at the funeral of its former leader James Larkin in 1947.[1]

It was involved in action against police and strikebreakers during the Dublin Lockout and as one of the major Republican combatants in the Easter Rising in 1916.[1]
