Paul Joseph Goebbels (29 October 1897 – 1 May 1945) was a prominent Nazi politician, author, and propagandist who briefly succeeded Adolf Hitler as Chancellor of Germany for one day, from 30 April to 1 May 1945. In September 1941, he admitted that Germany had, "totally underestimated the strength of the Bolsheviks."[1]
