The '''[[President of the United States]]''' is the head of state of the [[United States of America]] and commander-in-chief of the [[United States Armed Forces|U.S. Military]].  They are also the leader of the [[Executive (government)|Executive branch]] and have the ability to sign and veto bills put forth by [[United States Congress|Congress]] as well as enforce laws that the legislative branch passes.  The President is chosen by electors within the [[United States Electoral College|Electoral College]] to serve a four-year term, and can serve a maximum of two terms as per the [[Twenty-second Amendment to the United States Constitution|22nd Amendment]]<ref group="Note">There has been one exception to this rule:  [[Franklin D. Roosevelt]].  FDR was elected four times, in 1932, 1936, 1940, and 1944; he died less than half a year into his fourth term.  The 22nd Amendment was passed two years after his death in 1947.</ref>.  In total, there have been forty-five officeholders.  Twenty-one of those forty-five Presidents were elected more than once, and all officeholders (with the exception of [[Grover Greveland]]) served their term(s) consecutively.
