Marxism-Leninism is the philosophy and economic and political science that is based on the theory and practice developed mainly by Marx, Engels and Lenin. It is a current of thought that is based on the analyses of political economy by Karl Marx and Vladimir Lenin, the first in relation to the monopolist period, and the second to the imperialist period of European capitalism of the 19th and 20th centuries. Marxist thought is that of materialist philosophy and Hegelian logic, which was the basis for Leninist thought and action, that of concrete revolutionary praxis.
