Mali, officially the Republic of Mali, is a country in West Africa.

History

Democratically elected president Amadou Toumani Touré was overthrown in 2012 by a military coup. The leader of the coup, Amadou Haya Sanogo, was trained by AFRICOM. In 2020, the military overthrew President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita with popular support.[1]

French aggression

More than 50 foreign aircraft, mostly French, have deliberately violated Mali's airspace. French drones have spied on Malian forces.[2]
