Andrey Andreyevich Vlasov (14 September 1901 – 1 August 1946) was a Soviet general and Nazi collaborator. He assisted in the 1941 defense of Moscow but defected to the enemy after being captured in 1942 while most of his 2nd Shock Army escaped and retreated. He formed the Russian Liberation Army on Himmler's orders.[1]
