Anthony Norman Albanese (born 2 March 1963) is an Australian politician who has served as the 31st prime minister of Australia since 2022 and as leader of the Australian Labor Party (ALP) since 2019. Previously, Albanese has served in various ministerial roles, most notably as Leader of the House and Minister for Infrastructure and Transport from 2007 until 2013.

Due to the bourgeois two party system in Australia, Albanese has benefitted from the failures of the Liberal Party and has managed to maintain power despite being a fully fledged representitive of the bourgeoisie. Albanese has continued to favour landlords and corporations at the expense of the proletariat, offering only minor reforms whilst instead pushing militarism, support for Israel's genocide and imprisoning of the indigenous population.[1]
