1. I found prole wiki through reddit, around 2 years someone mentioned it in a thread, i forgot what subreddit, and i checked out the website. i liked how it contrasted the mainstream narrative and had topics that would be hard to research or know about. I mostly want to focus on Asian/Female history, especially Japan. I wanted to start an article on the Ryukyuan history including colonization, as well as Ainu history. 2. Im not well studied, aside from reading das kapital volume 1 and some works by Michael Parenti. I started out because i was angry at how no one would talk about Ryukyuan history, because i myself am Ryukyuan. then it festered into a growing resentment towards western countries because of their colonization and imperialism. I had a Marxist friend who got me to read the communist manifesto, and then i began to read more. I feel as if there is so much more for me to learn, and as such i dont necessarily have a label for myself, if someone asked i would say im a Marxist Leninist. 3. I agree with all of them, ive no comment aside from them being well written. 4. Yes, there is nothing wrong with being transgender, as gender identity is fluid and different among all people. Many cultures throughout history have had transgender people or people whos self expression does not match what identity they were assigned at birth. As is the same with sexual identity, i see no problem with people being in love with the same gender, as i myself am a lesbian. Hating people based on how they express or love is wrong. 5. I think both served as good leaders during their time, they did what they thought was best for their country in the situations they led. For Stalin i do think him criminalizing homosexuality was wrong, however i understand how during and after the war, raising birth rates, it would be a viable option to supporting that. 6. I think all the countries mentioned are doing the best for the citizens within their countries, some, such as Laos, are underdeveloped but even then, with their limited resources are still providing and making improvements for their people. I think they are socialist as it is stated within their respective constitutions, and in my opinion, they follow their constitution the best they are able. 7. Settler colonialism is when a group of people not native to a land displace natives, forcing them out or killing them, then taking that land. I think a good example is that of Japan, during the Meiji era Japan invaded the Ryukyuan kingdom, killing Ryukyuans and moving into their homes and land, stripping them of their culture and language. Indigenous people have a right to self determination, for themselves and their land. I believe the land should be given back to them, in all situations such as in Australia, Canada or Israel. 2. I think each country and people has a right to self determination, especially when they have been colonized or forced off their land by another group of people. 3. Women can only be liberated through a revolution and the downfall of capitalism. Women were first oppressed by their husbands and the patriarchy, and now its their bosses and capitalism who is oppressing them. As is the case with the USSR, following the revolution women gained more prominent roles in society, many became scientist, artists or politicians, roles they were once denied. They were accepted and supported in all of society, their thoughts and ideas weren't put down simply because they were a women. Marxist feminists have been pushed aside by all of society, and oppressed because of their gender, their race, sexuality or place within society. Capitalism pushes women down, Marxism builds them up because it will lead them to ending their oppression, in a society in which everyone is equal the patriarchy will cese to exist and the oppression of women ends. 4. The nuclear family is a capitalist invention created after WW2. It was created to force women down into the bottom rungs of society, stuck at home with no way to leave their husbands. Its also a racist and upper class invention. Most families had a rich father, the sole provider for the family, who would groom the son into thinking and following the same ideas, as with the mother and daughter. It was meant to be an ideal, consumerist family, one that subjected women into a role they did not want, stripping them of their humanity and personhood, women became a concept, an object rather than a human with thoughts and ideas. The only way to abolish it is to make men understand that a "traditional" family is but a farce, and that women are people. 5. I am part of 2 countries, Japan and America. In both countries the communist parties are essentially non existent or are not communist (more akin to social democrats) In both countries, things such as corruption and religion taking hold of the country is rampant. (its why Abe Shinzo was killed) I think the most pressing issue would be to educate people on what Marxists/communists actually believe, and getting them to understand history outside of the propaganda theyve been spoon fed their whole lives. I only have a positive opinion of the Nihon Sekigun/JRA. 7. Imperialism is not when trade occurs between 2 countries, its when a country subjects another to their rule. The BRI exists because China recognizes many countries do not have public infrastructure, or what exists in these countries is lackluster or harmful. The IMF or World Bank are organizations created by western countries that get other countries to go into debt so they can never develop and challenge western hegemony. They are imperialist because they keep countries subdued, poor and suffering, with no chance to develop.
