1. I discovered ProleWiki via twitter discussions regarding the potential of this platform for combating the more bourgeois/reactionary aspects of Wikipedia.
2. I uphold a broad conception of Marxism in order to avoid dogmatism, though I am highly critical of Western reformist "Marxists" like Eurocommunists who make numerous concessions to bourgeois electoralism, and who also played a major role in the creation of the imperialist "European Union". I critically support existing socialists states.
3. The principles of this website are a solid foundation for a proletarian wiki platform. I am signing up because I have no significant objections to the listed principles.
4. Marxists must simultaneously defend the rights of the LGBT community whilst opposing the pink-washing of corporations and of imperialism, which undermines the true liberation of LGBT people.
5. Stalin and Mao are significant and important figures in the history of the socialist movement who made countless valuable contributions to the international advancement of socialism. While they made some significant errors under difficult circumstances, they are overall progressive figures without whom the socialist movement would be less developed today.
6. China, Vietnam, Laos, Cuba and the DPRK are all countries led by parties which are pursuing socialism in their own way, according to their own unique material conditions and historic circumstances. They are constantly under threat from capitalist encirclement, and even if we are critical/pessimistic about their prospects, we must resolutely defend them against imperialist domination. They have all, in different ways, shown the superiority of socialism over capitalism.
SECONDARY QUESTIONS: 2. I would like to contribute by creating more articles in order to expand the scope of this site. I am currently an editor on Wikipedia and I would like to have a place to contribute more proletarian analysis of historical events, which is not generally accepted by other editors on Wikipedia.
3. National liberation is essential to the international character of socialism. The nationalism of the exploited is not comparable to the nationalism of the exploiter. National liberation is a precondition to the global spread of Communism, and without it there will continue to be a divide between the imperialists and the colonised nations.
6. The most pressing matter for communists in my country (Great Britain) is to resist reformism and to create a united Communist Party. The main goal of said party should be to challenge Britain's international position as an imperialist nation, and to resist our continued position as an extension of American/NATO imperialism.
7. Marxism is the only anti-capitalist movement with a coherent analysis of class conflict, and a scientific and materialist understanding of historical development. It provides the greatest critical analysis of the present capitalist system and the means to forge a new world under the leadership of the proletariat. It also counteracts the idealist tendencies of other anti-capitalist movements.
8. Israel is an artificial state created as an extension of European imperialism and backed by American money. Any attempt to legitimise its existence must be resisted. It is an inherently colonialist ethno-state and nothing less than its complete dismantling is acceptable. From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.
