My opinion of him is generally positive, even if I tend to have my critiques of his person, particularly for some of his chauvinistic and regressive personal behaviours. 6. My understanding of gender is that it is a social construct and that the oppression of women and the LGBTQ+ community is a product of capitalist societies. As Marxists, it is important to actively work to dismantle the systems of oppression that have been put in place under capitalism and to build a society in which all people are able to fully realize their potential regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation.
