First Set:
- 1: I first found ProleWiki through looking for Marxist sources and stumbled upon the website. I've been in the discord for a while (Spiral) now but decided to make an editing account for grammar mistakes that I find on small pages that I visit.
- 2: I don't remember what it was at the time I found the website but currently I believe in Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought and the Juche Idea.
- 3: I have read our principles and believe they our well thought out and well explained.
- 4: As a nonbinary person myself I absolutely think that Marxists should support the LGBTQ+.
- 5: Stalin and Mao were representations of the movement of their time, with Mao's cultural revolution being an adventurist mistake. Collectivization and industrialization were required of the 1930s USSR to fight the fascist menace, however the policy should not be an automatic example to follow for every socialist country. They were both positive forces in history.
- 6: All of them are led by representatives of the proletariat, excluding the bourgeoisie where they put forward counter-revolutionary aims. China is an example of the proletariat leading a national bourgeoisie that I find interesting and a positive experiment for socialists. I believe they are all socialist and a positive force in history.
- 7: Settler-Colonial countries that exist of the top of my head are Israel and the United States of America. The structures of national oppression and settler-colonialism need to be exposed and destroyed. Reparations and land-back campaigns need to be completed. The ethnic minorities of every country need to have their democratic rights as part of their country respected, and national self-determination needs to be given where applicable. Discussion directly with the colonized needs to happen in order for reparations to work to positively impact them.
- 8: As a national liberation war, the October 7th uprising was a drop in the bucket compared to the tidal wave of colonialism that the Zionist Entity has wrought on the Palestinian people. I support the Palestinian Intifada and hope that the people of Palestine will be free from Zionist oppression, in whatever form the Palestinian people choose. Of course in a national liberation war there is the chance of it being controlled by the national bourgeoisie (which is extremely underdeveloped in colonized countries) which must make the decision between allying with the people or the international Imperialist bourgeoisie. I hope they choose the former or that the PFLP or a similar organization prepare for a socialist revolt shortly after national self-determination is secured.
Second Set:
- 1: Dialectical materialism is the philosophy behind Marxism. It believes that everything is changing on a dialectic basis through contradictions. It also believes that material conditions come before perception and personal thought. Therefore it is the scientific and philosophic method of Marxism.
- 5: In the United States the key focus should be the destruction of American Imperialism and the construction of a united, mass communist party. While there are select genuine Marxist-Leninist organizations in the US, they are not of a mass character and are in an embryonic phase. This phase is being prolonged by the revisionist line of the CPUSA which follows a social-democratic line if anything.
- 6: The main difference between Marxism-Leninism and other anti-capitalist movements is the realistic and viable analysis and strategy that it is based on. This difference is caused by the theories of Marx stemming from dialectical-materialism. Anarchists and certain principled rank-and-file social democrats have sometimes even wonderful ideals (the peaceful transfer of power sounds amazing, yet is unrealistic; the abolition of the state immediately and communism being affected immediately sounds amazing, yet is unrealistic.).
- 7: Imperialism is the highest stage of capitalism created by monopolies in particularly developed nations for the division of the world into markets. This key factor splits into millions of different issues based on empire. The IMF and World Bank exist to keep countries under neo-colonialism in debt to the Imperialist nations. I believe B&R undercuts imperial ambitions around the world.
- 8: I have read Soviet Democracy by Pat Sloan which taught me a lot about the early Soviet Union, although it wasn't filled with much theory. I have read Trotskyism: Counter-Revolution in Disguise which taught me about democratic-centralism put into practice, especially during times of extreme pressure. Blackshirts & Reds by Michael Parenti is a classic. I have read Socialism Betrayed and its analysis on how Socialism can collapse from the interior. I plan to read more about China, Vietnam and Korea sooner than later. However I'm focusing on reading more practical than historical books that focus on building revolution now rather than learning more in depth about AES of the past.
Optional Question #2: I do not have any experience or skill with any programming language or MediaWiki.
