1. I found prolewiki on my Twitter feed. They post very good anti-imperialist content. I decided to click on the link in bio and it brought me to this site which I love by the way. 2. Marxist-Leninist. I became a Marxist last year after having a 3-year phase in which I was a firm believer in American conspiracy theories. It was during this period that I became a humanist and got a disdain for the mainstream global Capitalist establishment. Albeit it was because I thought they were hiding "secret alien technology" that would help us prevent climate change at the time. I came across leftist memes on Instagram and was able to piece together how economic exploitation works. From there I got exposed to Marxist content and then started learning about past socialist states, especially through the likes of Hakim and Second thought from YouTube which then solidified my ideology as Marxist Leninist. I think that it's also appropriate that I mention that I was once an aspiring Entrepreneur, I even went to the extent of choosing to study commerce in campus which I am doing now. However I have outgrown this tendency. I lastly joined my local Communist Party, the Communist Party Of Kenya where I currently do political mobilizing while also going through their political school. I hope to attain official cadre membership in August of this year. 3. I have read your principles. I agree with the mechanisms that you have in place to promote democracy and also promote ideas from the membership. I disagree a bit with your critical support of the Russian Federation and the Islamic Republic of Iran. This is not because I am against these nations but because I am of the opinion that you're not going far enough (at least by what your principles state at face value)in terms of supporting the local proletariat fighting imperialism. Collaboration should be made with local Communist Parties in these regions with the goal of turning them socialist as their anti-western stance makes them potential candidates for revolution. 4. I do not have a deep understanding of this topic, however Gender according to me is a societal construct. Created norms and traditions that support existing cultures. Yes Marxists should uphold the LGBTQ Community, because it is a natural phenomenon and nobody should have opinions of the private affairs of two or more consenting adults. 5. I have a positive view of Joseph Stalin and Mao Zedong. They helped in the development of communist theory both in their works and in the systems that they created in their respectful countries. They helped establish communism in a quarter of the world's land surface in the 20th century either directly and indirectly. From my point of view, they also helped liberate all of Africa from colonialism by the amount of aid that they sent to freedom movements in the continent. Lastly, they greatly improved the standards of living of the regions that they operated in, and showed that the building of the forces of production through unexploitative socialist means is possible. A critique that I have of both of them is that they did not develop the proper mechanisms to tap into the creative potential of their large amount of citizens, hence could not develop luxuries and industries in their countries to the full extent of their potential. This is when compared to the amount of minerals and resources that these two nations had. They also did not create proper democratic systems that would keep them in touch with the masses and ensure that development and economic growth took place in a way that citizens were most comfortable with. This lack of proper Democratic systems also encouraged bureaucracy and dictatorial decision making such as what took place in the Sino-Soviet split or the introduction of market mechanisms in the USSR by Gorbachev. 6. They are all progressive countries which prioritize their workers interests. Although Vietnam and Laos seem to be tied down by imperialist and private interests in terms of what the state can do to help the proletariat. They seem to be relying on the private sector without any purpose and end up looking like most third world countries in terms of standards of living. Cuba and North Korea have the right policies in place but are unable to provide high standards of living for their citizens due to sanctions. They are currently simply "holding out" which is a precarious position according to me. China is the reason a strong Marxist movement still exists worldwide. The support that they have given to communist entities worldwide, especially North Korea and Cuba is immense. They also prioritize the improvement of the lives of their citizens and they grow their economy with this intention. This has led to feats such as the elimination of extreme poverty in the country. However, their large private sector worries me as it reduces the amount of wealth going to the proletariat, makes their economy susceptible to cyclical capitalist economic crises(boom and busts), makes their citizens wage slaves and it increases the chances of a colour Revolution taking place in it. I do consider all these nations socialist. VERIFICATION QUESTIONS 1. I would describe Dialectical materialism as the study of society through the use of contradictions within the factions within it. And these contradictions are influenced by the means of production. In terms of how advanced they are technologically and how they change the societal positions of these factions. 2. I would like to contribute topics concerning my locality. Problems that I see I plaguing the East African working class from a marxist lens. Also, I would like to document the journey of Marxists in East Africa as we try to fight for a revolution for audiences all over the world. The goal for this is to encourage other communists from the rest of the globe just as they have encouraged me. And to also foster corporation. 6. In my country Kenya, the most pressing matter for us communists is creating a large support amongst the masses. We have been operating for too long as a small stagnant group. Like an NGO. We are actively trying to get the public to rally with us as we fight the comprador state. Another problem of similar scale is a lack of enough finances and resources to conduct our activities. 7. Marxist movements are more disciplined and have a vast array of theory that is accurate. Hence they have higher rates of success. 8. Israel is a colonial entity in the region that is illegally occupying and settling on Palestinian land. It is also actively commiting genocide to the Palestinian people, and I talk of genocide according to UN definition which describe it as an attempt to completely eradicate particular groups and their entire cultures. The world however does not enact stern actions on Israel because they have the support of the United States, who controls the global Capitalist system. A system in which all world governments currently rely on for the survival of their economies. Israel is also a major trading partner of a lot of these countries. In order for this situation to be resolved, in order for the Zionists to be brought to justice for their crimes, the current global Capitalist system needs to be altered. In a way that makes it not have to depend on the United States and the Capitalists as a whole.
