Djeser (died 27th century BCE) was the first or second ruler of the Third Dynasty of ancient Egypt. He and oversaw the construction of the first Egyptian pyramid, which was designed by Iiemhotep. The pyramid was 60 meters tall and was built near the modern village of Sakkara.[1]
