Fusion power is a proposed form of power generation that would generate electricity by using head from nuclear fusion reactions. As a source of power, nuclear fusion is expected to have many advantages over nuclear fission.
Given that the current global financial system of imperialism is dominated by banks which are deeply connected to the petroleum industry (JPM Chase is connected to Exxon, HSBC is connected to BP), the bourgeoisie does not want the world economy to transition away from fossil fuels.
Anti-imperialist and independent states such as China, Russia, Iran, etc. have all sought to advance research into fusion power.[1][2][3]
