The Green Party of the United States is a big tent federation of statewide green political parties in the United States of America, and the fourth largest political party overall within the United States. It has contested elections since its founding in 2001 and advocates for a variety of progressive and leftist causes. Jill Stein was the Green candidate in the 2024 United States presidential election,[1] and during the presidential campaign of Democratic candidate Kamala Harris was consistently smeared by the Democrats.[2] The party follows the Ten Key Values, a set of values aimed towards unifying the party with a common ideological basis,[3] however due to the loose interpretation that it upholds, although a majority of members lean more towards libertarian socialism, some members lean more towards social democracy.
