Kidinnu, also known by the Greek name Cidenas, was a Babylonian astronomer. He distinguished between the lunisolar year and tropical year and measured the latter as 365 days, 5 hours, 41 minutes, and 4.16 seconds (the real length is 7 minutes and 17 seconds longer). He also discovered solar precessions.[1]
