Michael Lucas (March 7, 1926 – May 4, 2020) was a Slovak-born Canadian communist. He was a leader of the International Council for Friendship and Solidarity with the Soviet People and edited its newspaper, the Northstar Compass, for 25 years. Lucas was also in charge of the Friendship House, which hosted a library of Marxist-Leninist literature and photographs from the Soviet Union.[1]
