Mirsaid Sultan-Galiev (13 July 1892 – 28 January 1940) was a Soviet revolutionary and politician. Before the October Revolution, he was secretary of the All-Russia Muslim Council.[1]:72–73 During the Civil War, he prioritized autonomy and self-determination for Central Asia over class struggle against the local feudal lords.[1]:62–63
