Paul Mattick was a German-American Marxist theorist, associated with the theory of council-communism and his criticism of the Bolshevik interpretation of Marxism and the vanguard party.
He was involved with the German revolution of 1918-1919 as an apprentice at Siemens and was active at one point in the Spartacus League and German communism.
