I don't know whether this would be added on a separate ideologies page first or whether we would add this here and write it later but the RCP no longer follows Maoism, they believe in what they call "The New Communism" or "New Synthesis" which was slowly developed after their split with the Revolutionary Workers Headquarters and self imposed exile of Avakian. Basically it places more importance on attracting media attention and creating a "leader of a new type" instead of building cadre organizations in workplaces. This strategy can be see in their use of whack-a-mole front groups like Rise Up For Abortion Rights or Refuse Fascism! which focus on whichever issue can receive mass media attention.
