Orbán Viktor Mihály (born 31 May 1963) is a Hungarian politician and lawyer who has served as the 56th prime minister of Hungary since 2010. Orbán is Hungary's longest-serving prime minister and has previously held the office from 1998 to 2002. He has also a co-founder of the far-right Fidesz political party and has led the party since 2003, and previously from 1993 to 2000.

Orbán has been highly critical of the EU and NATO, especially in regards to its policies towards Russia; he correctly identified that the war in Ukraine was the result of EU and NATO enlargement and opposes sending support to Ukraine. Despite his criticism, Orbán has no desire to leave the organizations and seeks to gain the benefits of imperialism, such as EU funding, without having to abide by the policies of the west. Orbán is also in contention with the west over his conservative Christian values which results in repression of minorities, he reguarly esposes reactionary rhetoric even more islamophobic than in the west.[1]
