Nigel Paul Farage is a far-right British politician and broadcaster serving as leader of Reform UK since June 2024, having previously served as party leader from 2019 to 2021 and leader of the UK Independence Party from 2006 to 2009, and 2010 to 2016. Farage is most well known for campaigning for the UK to leave the European Union, but Farage doesn't campaign against the EU due to its imperialism, rather for xenophobia and British nationalism.[1] Farage is a notorious grifter, presenting himself as a champion of the proletariat whilst being a wealthy servant of the bourgeoisie.[2]

Political career[edit | edit source]

Farage served as Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for South East England from 1999 until Brexit came into effect in 2020. In 2018 Farage was listed as the British MEP with the most earnings outside of parliament, with him coming 7th in Europe, having earned between £524,000 and £700,000 over the last 4 years in media work despite claiming to be skint.[2]
