ProleWiki is fighting against the well-financed ideological infrastructure of the [[bourgeoisie]] in trying to create educational materials.  


For the commoners to prevail over the elites, we'll need to constantly coming up with messaging strategies to reach the most amount of people. If you've got ideas, drop them below.  
As a result of an internal debate among our administrators in early 2022, ProleWiki synthesized its position and place in regards to marketing and its usage for our project.
 
We recognize the capitalist nature of the practice as well as its creation as a tool to be used by the bourgeoisie. We also recognize marketing as being manipulative, creating needs where none exist to extract what little value workers have managed to save for themselves.
 
However, for better or worse, those are the material conditions that we currently live in, where everyone is competing for attention and marketing has become a ubiquitous practice. Even more so with the rise and enduring usage of social media in our lives, where there is simply so much information, that it is impossible to see everything that happens.
 
As such, it was accepted by the administrators that we would need to learn how to market our free, proletarian encyclopedia and learn to use social media effectively so that we too have a chance to reach the masses. Just as the bourgeoisie misuses our theorists and praxis, we too chose to misuse their theory for our own purposes. We exist in a world controlled by the bourgeoisie, and have come to the conclusion that we need to play along with their rules for the time being if we wish to exist and have an impact.
