Sir Leslie James Morshead, KCB, KBE, CMG, DSO, ED, Knight of the Legion of Honour (18 September 1889 – 26 September 1959) was a Australian soldier, farmer, schoolteacher, manager, fascist paramilitary member, and distinguished military officer who participated in both world wars. Morshead was the commander of the 9th Australian Division during the siege of Tobruk (1941) and the Second Battle of El Alamein (1942), achieving major victories against Generalfeldmarschall Erwin Rommel's Afrika Korps.
