Manifest Destiny was a white supremacist, expansionist, and settler colonial belief that advocated for the United States to expand across North America. President James Monroe later expanded Statesian colonial ambitions into Latin America and Oceania.[1] The colonial expansion of the United States inspired the later Nazi policy of Lebensraum.[2]
