Narendra Damodardas Modi (born 17 September 1950) is a right-wing Indian politician who has been Prime Minister of India in 2014. He has been described as a "semi-fascist" leader.[1]

Chief Minister of Gujarat

Before becoming Prime Minister of India, Modi led the state of Gujarat and supported a pogrom that killed over 1,000 Muslims.[2] State textbooks in Gujarat praised Hitler and describes supposed "Internal Achievements of Nazism".[3]

Modi came to power at the beginning of an economic crisis by blaming the crisis on the previous liberal government of Manmohan Singh. After taking power, Modi implemented neoliberal policies, decreasing employment and workers' incomes.[4] He promised to create 100 million jobs and increase manufacturing to 25% of GDP. Instead, India lost 24 million manufacturing jobs, and manufacturing dropped from 17% to 14% of India's GDP. In 2023, he pledged loyalty to the USA's New Cold War against China.[3]
