Frank Liberto was a member of the Carlos Marcello crime family and president of the Liberto, Liberto and Latch Produce Company in Memphis, Tennessee. He paid Loyd Jowers $100,000 to arrange the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. Lavada Whitlock Addison, the manager of a pizza parlor, said that Liberto admitted to the killing between eight and 14 years later.[1]
