The Empire of (Great) Manchuria, also referred to as Manchukuo, was a puppet state of the Empire of Japan from 1932 until 1945.
Name
Manchukuo was officially named the State of Manchuria[a] prior to 1934.
History
Manchukuo was established in 1932 by the Imperial Japanese Army. The global population did not recognize the Manchukuo regime.
