The Socialist Unity Centre of India (Communist) (SUCI(C)) is one of the several communist parties in India. It centers around the thought of its founder Shibdas Ghosh.
Politics
SUCI(C) has been a member of several CPI(M)-led Left Front governments in West Bengal. However, they allied with anti-communist Trinamool Congress Party to bring down the Left Front government in the aftermath of Nandigram incident.[1]
The party has also questionable stances on social issues, calling homosexuality a sign of "mental deformity and morbidity."[2]
