A search engine allows internet users to find information based on queries, usually text queries. Google Search is the most used search engine,[1] but it is heavily censored and manipulated by the imperialist United States.[2]
DuckDuckGo was founded in 2008 as a privacy-focused competitor to popular search engines such as Google Search. For a time it maintained a reputation helping to circumvent censorship, but following the 2022 Russo-Ukraine conflict, DuckDuckGo violated its own neutrality and began censoring Russian news outlets.[3]
In response, Brave Search and Presearch announced that they will refuse to censor search results.[4]
