The Bavarian Soviet Republic was a revolutionary socialist state in the Weimar Republic that existed for less than a month in 1919.[1]
History
After the German Empire was overthrown in November of 1918, the People's State of Bavaria was established. It was led by Kurt Eisner, a democratic socialist.
On April 6, the People's State of Bavaria was overthrown and the Bavarian Soviet Republic was established.
