1. Where did you find ProleWiki?

I found it through www.hexbear.net

2. What current of Marxist thought do you uphold? Describe as thoroughly as needed your path towards your current political perspective.

Marxist-Leninist. I was an edgy teen in the mid-2000’s who hated America and early opinions were born out of pure contrarianism. With no ideological or coherent base of ideas, I’d end up defending any and all groups on the basis that they were anti-American. It wasn’t until college when I met some friends in a Philosophy class who encouraged me to read Marx that I expanded my horizons.

3. Have you read our principles? Comment your agreements or objections to our principles.

I did and I agree with them all.

4. What is your understanding of gender? Should Marxists support the LGBT community?

My understanding of gender is very limited, outside of information learned from trans friends. Marxists should support the LGBT community completely as they should any oppressed group.

5. What is your position on Joseph Stalin and Mao Zedong? How would you describe their historical role? Share any comments or critiques you have regarding them.

Stalin is over-demonized in the US, especially compared to his “Uncle Joe” portrayal during his life by Western Media. He was pivotal in the defeat of Nazi Germany, despite what modern day opinion polls believe (thinking of the one from France that shows the declining belief of Soviet contribution in WW2). They both took large nations from relative backwaters to industrial powerhouses.

6. What are your thoughts on China, Vietnam, Cuba, DPRK and Laos? Do you believe any of these countries is socialist? Why or why not?

Yes to all of them. They all consider themselves Marxist–Leninist states and I believe any committed western leftist should support these states.

SECONDARY VERIFICATION QUESTIONS (answer only 5 of them):

1. In your own words, how would you describe dialectical materialism?

I believe it was Marx’s way of formulating a “scientific” socialism. He called it something along the lines of standing Hegel’s Dialectical Idealism on its feet rather than head. It’s a way to understand our reality via the Historical Materialist concepts pushed by Marx and Engles.

2. What subjects or topics you would like to contribute to ProleWiki?

History and philosophy

4. What is a page that you would like to change, and what would you like to change on it?

Neoliberalism and I’d like to add more info.

8. What in your opinion is the most pressing matter for communists in your country?

Breaking free of “yankee-brain” or getting free of American exceptionalism. Many still fall for or parrot bourgeois propaganda regarding AES states or communism in general.

10. What is your stance on Israel and Palestine?

Free Palestine, simple as.
