The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) is a political, economic, and security alliance created in June 2002 in Shanghai, China. At its first meeting, China identified three harmful forces: extremism, separatism, and terrorism.[1] The original member states were China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. India and Pakistan joined SCO as full members on 9 June 2017.
