Chris Matlhako was a South African communist. He served as a member of the Central Committee of the SACP and 2nd Deputy General Secretary from 2017 to 2022. He participated in the anti-apartheid movement as part of the African National Congress and served as General Secretary of the Friends of Cuba Society – South Africa.[1]
